The Logo & Ethos of Breathe Hoodie
Our designs are inspired by the principles of mindfulness and intentionality. Our logo was hand painted by one of our founders, Sofia, representing the spiraling journey within. The intuitive look and feel of the logo extends to the good-feel of our apparel and is a reminder of originality and simple inspiration, such as that which comes from just breathing. Breathe Hoodie apparel is a way to show you are a part of something bigger than yourself. Globally, so many people are finding breathwork and conscious breathing or Pranayama is the key tool to access states of higher consciousness, reflection and inner peace. We believe a conscious breath practice is the stepping stone to a regenerative world.
Our Story
The Breathe Hoodie story began with the vision of Julian and Sofia.
We are Julian and Sofia, a husband and wife duo who have been breathwork practitioners for over a decade. Breathwork and Pranayama took a center stage in Julian's life in 2013 when he ran an Open Space in Victoria, B.C. gathering many teachers and a sizeable community around principles of Mindfulness, Breath and "Innerstanding".
Sofia is a classically trained musician in voice and flute and her connection to conscious breathing roots back through her music practice.
The idea and inspiration of creating a clothing line came to us during a nature retreat together with our dear friend Alex. Together we envisioned a brand that not only promoted mindfulness through it's simple and direct messaging but also through its practices and ethical sourcing.
We believe in clothing that people can wear as a symbol of their commitment to breathwork and regeneration, a flag for a movement towards a more mindful and sustainable world. Understanding the profound impact breathwork can have on inner regeneration - we have experienced firsthand how conscious breathing can transform lives, and we are determined to share this gift with others.
